What we covered in class today: We came up with a 3-column list covering most of the vocab used in trend description. We analysed the structure of an article by The Guardian describing the findings of a survey.

What we covered in class today: We finished the activity on "The magic of diasporas", did a listening test + a hands-on introduction to translation.

What we covered in class today: We watched a video on racial bias in law enforcement in the USA today and held a debate on racial (and otherwise) bias in Spain. We also started a 3-stage activity on an article by The Economist.

Homework for tomorrow: Finish the vocab-searching activity and answer the comprehension questions in part 2.

What we covered in class today: We finished the activity on the obituary and studied (and listened to) the song "Strange Fruit" and its background.

What we covered in class today: We finished the error-correction task (please print out the document in question and put it on your bedside table :) and started a 3-stage activity based on an article by The Economist.

What we covered today: We did the gap-fill exercises you had prepared at home and started an error-correction activity based on the mistakes you made in last week's summary.

What we covered in class today: We finished the activity on Mad Men and watched the following video until 21:00.

Homework for Monday: Create a 10-item gap-fill exercise (using a selection of the vocabulary we've seen so far) along these lines:

Tip: to obtain this last sentence I googled "managed to juggle" and "The Guardian".

What we covered in class: We viewed the first episode of Mad Men season 1 and started the activity.

Homework for Friday (Thursday is a bank holiday!!): Create a "quizlet" with all the vocabulary covered so far in The Mommy Track, The weaker sex -optional- and Mad Men. Do parts 2 and 4 of the above-mentioned activity.
