What we did in class 21-Mar.: We extended activity 7 p47 creating and launching a new perfume in groups of 4-5 learners. We studied the following article to get a grasp of the marketing jargon.
For those of you who are interested I made a list of the most important words in the marketing jargon I haven't included the translation into Spanish since most words are self-explanatory (and the aim here is to teach you the typical collocations) but do not hesitate to print the list out and bring it to class if you want me to translate some of them.

Pour vous aider un peu, voici un petit synopsis de la comédie musicale en question: Sept comédiens, en quête de gloire, cherchent à monter une comédie musicale. Ils s’improvisent chanteurs et danseurs et décident de faire plus fort que «Notre Dame de Paris», d’aller plus loin que «les Dix Commandements» : ils créent un spectacle musical sur la préhistoire et présentent «Lucie, la femme caverne».
Ce qu'on a fait en cours le 15 mars : Correction rapide en cours de la compréhension de texte sur les Suisses et l'Islam, écoute d'un Extrait de Radio Canada et débat sur l'intégration et le communautarisme.

1. Its definition in English (please go to Merriam Webster)
2. Its translation in Spanish (in the context of the text)
What we did in class 02-Mar.: Unit 4D p40-41. Brainstorming in groups of 2-4 on oral projects. The Oral Project outline has to be handed in on the 11th of April and the projects themselves will start after Easter, i.e. from the 27th of April onwards.

Au fait, j'ai oublié de vous dire que "ça ne tient pas debout" c'est aussi une expression qui veut dire ça n'a aucun sens. Donc il s'agit d'un jeu de mot de la part de l'auteur qui suggère que le fait que david ne puisse pas marcher (parce-que ses jambes ne tiennent littéralement pas debout) et la réaction de la société, n'ont aucun sens...
