Homework for Monday, October 28th: Do these 3 exercises on Present Perfect Simple & Continuous

English CAE Friday group:

What we did in class on Friday: Course book p8-11. We decided that you could choose between 4 different books to read: Enduring Love by Ian Mc Ewan, High Fidelity by Nick Hornby, Gain by Richard Powers or The Autograph Man by Zadie Smith. The exam on the book -whichever you choose- will take place after the Christmas holiday.

Homework for Friday, NOVEMBER 8TH (no classes next Friday, November 1st, it is a bank holiday): Reading Part 1 exercise 3 p11 (answer the 6 questions, 2 per text).

Welcome everybody, this is going to be your blog for academic year 2013-2014 (and onwards? :)
Even though it is pretty much self-explanatory -especially for you lucky members of Generation Y!- I'll tell you more about it in class.

What we did in class on Monday: Course explanation + ice breaker + we chose the novel we are going to read this year: Enduring Love by Ian Mc Ewan.

Homework for Wednesday: Buy the Course book if you haven't done so already :) FACE TO FACE (Cambridge) Upper Intermediate 

What we did in class on Wednesday: Course book Unit 7A p60-61 (until act 5) You may now choose the book you want to read this year: Either Enduring Love by Ian Mc Ewan OR High Fidelity by Nick Hornby.

Homework for Monday, October 21st: Finish activity 5 p61, read G7.1 p141 and do exercise 6 p61.

What we did in class on Monday: Course explanation + ice breaker + we chose the novels (as we couldn't quite decide between Enduring Love and High Fidelity I ended up accepting both options) we are going to read this year: Enduring Love by Ian Mc Ewan or High Fidelity by Nick Hornby.

English CAE Friday group:

What we did in class on Friday: Ice breaker + Listening and Reading comprehension activity on an article from The Economist (the correction is on the 3rd page). We've also decided to read the following book during the year: "The autograph Man" by Zadie Smith. It is to be read by January, the 10th. Here is the link to the goodreads webpage for more info.

Homework for Friday, October 25th: No homework. BUY the Course book: Complete CAE Student's book (Cambridge University Press) + Official Examination Papers from CAE 1 & 2 (Cambridge University Press).
