1st year:

What we did in class on Wednesday, January 29: Course introduction + 3-stage activity based on an article by The Economist.

Homework for Wednesday February 5: Complete the activity in question (2, 3 and 4). Learn the vocabulary we covered + Press review* + view the following Ted Talk and take notes.
*Press review: select and read an article from any section of the following sources: 
The Economist, The Times, The NY Times, FT, The Guardian, The Independent, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, The Toronto Star, The Nation and take notes on the main points & supporting details of the article.

Week beginning Monday, January 20

Homework for Thursday, January 23: Revise everything we've covered so far and identify the points you'd like us to review. If you were unable to attend our class, make sure you do the above-mentioned writing.
